Sports Seminars Given at Border Books

The Mental Coach gave a number of sports seminars at Borders Books as part of the BORDERS LIVE CLASSES series which ran from February to May of 2008.

The most popular seminars included: WINNING THE MENTAL GAME OF GOLF and WINNING THE MENTAL GAME - IN ANY SPORT

In WINNING THE MENTAL GAME OF GOLF, the focus was on the specific mental game of golf. We discussed the mental challenges of driving, putting, obstacles and more. We also covered choking, the dreaded yips, and give tips anyone could use to overcome obstacles and perform better under pressure on the golf course.

In WINNING THE MENTAL GAME - IN ANY SPORT, the focus was on sports in general, with examples from the participants' sports (ranging from target shooting and bicycle racing to swimming and roller derby). We defined the mental game and why it's important to win. We discussed what holds us back from performing at our best and why, and learned tools anyone can use to improve their mental game.
